Interview with Sabrina Sol, author of Reunited #1NightStand #romance #giveaway @DecadentPub @theromancechica

Blog Tour for Reunited by Sabrina Sol

Welcome, Sabrina! It’s always a pleasure to have another Decadent author here. Can you tell us about your new release?

SS: Basically, it’s about second chances and turning a fantasy into a reality. But here’s the official blurb to give you a better idea about REUNITED:

What would you do if you had the chance to sleep with your unrequited high school crush?

If you’re former geek Magdelena Cruz, you’d do him in a heartbeat. But you’d lie about your true identity first and hope your new sexy persona is enough to create a night neither of you will forget. Workaholic assistant DA Will Hudson doesn’t have time for a love life. Expecting to scratch an itch with a willing stranger, he signs up for Madame Evangeline’s 1Night Stand experience. He has no idea that his date is no stranger. A reunion between two classmates will be hotter than the scorching Las Vegas sun. But will the heat be enough to spark something deeper, or will they both end up getting burned by Magdelena’s charade?

Sounds like another great 1Night Stand story! Describe the heroine in three words.

SS: Smart. Independent. Latina.

What traits does the hero posses that makes the heroine swoon?

SS: Will is gorgeous, of course. But he also has a warm and kind heart and is dedicated to helping others.

I’d swoon, too. What was your inspiration for this story?

SS: The main inspiration for the story is the movie 16 Candles. At the end of the movie, the heroine’s birthday wish comes true when her high school crush finally notices her. In REUNITED, my heroine Magdelena decides to take matters into her own hands and orchestrates a 1Night Stand with her crush from high school. The only problem is, she thinks she needs to hide her true identity in order for Will to want her.

How long have you been writing with the hopes of publication?

SS: Although I’ve always dreamt of becoming a published author, I didn’t really do anything about it until two years ago. That’s when I started taking online writing workshops and actually began writing the novel that had been stirring in my head for some time.

Are you a plotter or a pantser?

SS: I’m both. I start off as a pantser. A story idea will stick in my head and I can start writing with just a basic plot line, character names and an ending. But then I have to turn into a plotter in order to fill in the guts of the story and connect the dots.

What genres do you enjoy reading?

SS: I enjoy reading erotic and contemporary romance, chick lit and crime/suspense (in case you were wondering, I used to be a crime and courts reporter for a local newspaper).

What writing/writer’s organizations are you involved with? Can you explain how they help your writing and/or your writing career?

SS: The first group I joined, at the suggestion of my author friend Louisa Bacio, was Savvy Authors (www.savvyauthors.com). I took some amazing workshops that first year and it really helped me focus on my writing. The classes and writing challenges pushed me to write almost every day just so I could get words on a page. It didn’t matter if they were brilliant or ridiculous, all that mattered was that I was writing. And even though I was far from being published, I still felt like an author because I was around other authors. Heck, I even had a half-finished novel under my belt. And for the first time in my life, my dream seemed like it was within reach.

What is the best piece of advice you would give to aspiring authors?

SS: Write as often as you can and get your work out there. Whether it’s getting published in a free anthology or simply posting original stories on your blog, it’s important to start building connections with readers and other authors before your first book is even sold.

Great advice! Where can my readers find you?

Thank you for stopping by, Sabrina! Here’s an excerpt from Reunited:

Reunited by Sabrina SolStanding in front of the door to the suite, she let the magnitude of the moment sink in. All logic and practicality fled. She’d left both back at home with her pocket protector and sensible shoes. The situation called for her to be impulsive, daring and confident.

If you are, then he will finally be yours….

She smoothed her dress, adjusted her bra, and blew into her hand for a breath check. Satisfied, she slid her key card into the slot and pushed the door open.

A blaring TV welcomed her. Not that she expected a violin serenade, but she hadn’t planned on competing with a basketball game for her date’s attention. She frowned.

“Pass the ball, you idiot!” Will shouted.

Tingling from head to toe at the sound of his voice, she released a slow breath.

It’s now or never, Magdelena.

“Hello?” she called.

The TV turned off instantly. A second later, he walked into her view.

Her throat tightened.

The years had been good to him. No, they’d been great to him. Although she’d seen pictures on the alumni website, they didn’t do him justice. Every visible inch of his body appeared chiseled from stone. A dark gray shirt and black slacks perfectly accentuated every muscle. He wore his dark hair shorter than she’d seen in the photos, but his blue eyes were more piercing than ever. He looked her over, settling on her cleavage and her nipples that had come to attention the minute she saw him. Then he raised his eyes to meet hers.

“Hello, Elena.” His deep voice lit her soul on fire.

He doesn’t recognize me. This plan might work after all.
